I have low water pressure, but I don’t know why?
If you have a plumbing system, then you are likely to have low water pressure at some point throughout the life of your drainage system. Low water is more common than you would think. There are a variety of reasons that you are currently experiencing low water pressure. A failing pressure regulator is often seen coupled with low water pressure. In addition, there could be a debris or mineral buildup directly inside the drainage system which would prevent the water from coming through in full force.
The age of your pipes would determine the cause of low water pressure as well. The older your pipes are the more likely they are to have some kind of buildup internally. Steel pipes have longevity in the life of their pipes; however, as time moves forward the insides of the pipes can corrode naturally. The corrosion builds up and then eventually blocks the flow of the water. Some additional causes maybe faulty valves; these valves include the water valve and the main water shut off.
Why do I keep hearing gurgling sounds from my sink?
Similar to when experiencing low water pressure, hearing gurgling sounds from a sink have a variety of causes. The most common cause of a slow drain is a blockage within the system. The older your pipe system is the more likely you are of having some sort of blockage within. This could be caused from debris and mineral that has built up over time. There are certain situations where the roots of the trees around your property are growing in the wrong direction and end up trying to move through your pipe system instead.
Gurgling sounds are among the more common signs of a buildup or something is blocking the drain from performing at its full function. A blocked vent pipe is another common cause of gurgling sounds or in some extreme cases you could have a damaged pipe. At Done-Rite Plumbing & Rooter, we have licensed technicians that are equipped to determine the direct cause of the symptom and what we can do to resolve the overall problem.
How do I unclog my drain? A clogged drain happens to everyone. You are doing dishes and then suddenly the water won’t move down the drain. Or you just simply turn on the water and you have standing still water. Searching for ways to unclog your drain are very popular amongst homeowners who are trying to fix the problem without the hassle of needing an appointment with your local plumber, but that is exactly what you need to do. While you can go out and buy the next chemically-based solutions that may seem to fix the symptom temporarily, this does not fix the overall problem.
When there is water standing still anywhere, then there is something going on internally with your pipe system. This could be as simple as a mineral buildup within the drainage system or it could something as serious as a collapsed or damaged pipe preventing the water system to fully drain. At Done-Rite Plumbing & Rooter, we have certified technicians who are able to determine the direct cause of the problem.
Why are there water stains on my walls? Water stains are a strong indication that there is a leak in your pipes. Cracked pipes are a common issue that both residential and commercial properties come across at times. One of the causes of a cracked pipe is often found due to the age of the pipes. There are a variety of signs to look out for. If you are also experiencing a musty smell, or if your water bill is significantly higher than it has been in the past. All of these are reasons to call your local plumber to help diagnose and fix the problem.
Why should I worry about a leak? Leaks aren’t so bad right? Leaks are a symptom of a larger issue. While seeing signs of a leak inside your system may not seem like an immediate problem, if the problem is ignored for too long the leak could get larger causing a pipe burst. Reaching out to your local plumber for an overall diagnosis can prevent a higher expenditure in a future date and protect the drainage system as a whole. At Done-Rite Plumbing & Rooter, we have the equipment to make a quick and easy diagnosis coupled with a highly qualified and trustworthy technician that will always service your Orange, North Tustin, Tustin, Yorba Linda, Anaheim, and Santa Ana with professionalism and care.
Why do I keep smelling sewer in my home? Believe it or not, what happens inside your pipes affect the rest of the house in one way or another. I strange or unpleasant smell in around the sink or faucet is a good indicator that you may have clogged pipes. Clogged pipes can be caused by a variety of reasons. Some of the most common reasons are debris or corrosion buildup within the pipes, food waste, small objects, and tree roots growing within the system.
While it seems like an easy solution to find home remedies to assist you with these kinds of clogs, home remedies often do not resolve the larger issue. It is important to contact your local plumber so that they can properly diagnose and fix the problem. At Done-Rite Plumbing & Rooter, we utilize a sewer camera in addition to our other quality equipment to see exactly what is causing the issue.
Why should I have my pipes cleaned? The general maintenance of your pipe system is incredibly important for the overall health of your property. Some of this maintenance does include having your drains cleaned. Steel pipes are known for its longevity lifespan; however, over time the minerals within those pipes tend to build. If the pipes are not maintained and cleaned for years at a time, this can cause corrosion or debris buildup. These kinds of buildups can eventually lead to more problems within your system such as low water pressure, a clog, a leak, or something as serious as a pipe bursting. The larger a problem gets the more expensive it takes to fix the problem. If your pipes are cleaned on a regular basis, this will prevent a lot of the more serious problems and be more cost-effective overall.
I dont want my landscaping destroyed. What do I do? Years ago, diagnosing a plumbing issue came with the destruction of your yard. Ditches would be riddled throughout your yard so that the technician could see what the direct cause of the plumbing issue. Through the brilliance of better technology, digging ditches is no longer needed to diagnose a problem. At Done-Rite Plumbing & Rooter, we utilize what is called Trenchless technology. Trenchless technology is a system that uses Hydro Jetting and a sewer camera to see what is going on in those pipes. We only need to drill two small holes near the pipe system and then the sewer camera shows detailed enough images to see exactly what the problem is.
What is Hydro Jetting? Done-Rite Plumbing & Rooter uses Trenchless technology to help assist our clients and it helps us understand what the problem is, so that we can best serve our clients. Trenchless technology uses a sewer camera and a hydro jet to remove any blockage or debris that may be occurring within the pipes. Prior to using the hydro jetting method, our certified technicians perform a video inspection of the pipes. The hydro jetting method is when a nozzle connected to our equipment is fed into your drain and then blasts highly pressurized water. This pressurized water removes some of the most difficult blockages. Hydro jetting is more environmentally friendly and is healthier for the pipes because it is using strictly water to remove the blockage. Some of the blockages that hydro jetting can remove are as simple as a small object to something more serious like years of corrosion buildup.
